CHRIS Bullen said that commuting every day from his home in Winchester to work in Andover was becoming costlier.
"I own my own house outright, and we're not going to move, so that's not really a problem for us.
"The petrol is the big issue; I have taken to using my bike at weekends.
He added that he doesn't tend to watch too much telly and will turn the radio off so he misses a lot of the gloomy economic predictions.
