"I think Anne should stay with the circus and people should not boycott it because it still has an elephant," said Tony Churchill from Andover.
"Most people who own animals, whether in the circus or as pets, really love their animals and will look after them.
"It is only a small minority of people who don't," said the 42-year-old.
