Man robbed at Winchester cashpoint
A MAN was punched in the face and robbed as he withdrew money from a Winchester cashpoint.
The victim was withdrawing cash from the Nat West machine on Andover Road late yesterday morning (Saturday June 28) when the incident happened.
As he took the money from the hole in the wall he was hit in the face without warning by another man, who then grabbed the cash and ran off.
Police are now appealing for anyone in the area between 11.30am and 12noon, and who may have seen the robbery or the assailant running off, to come forward.
The robber is described as white, aged between 25 and 35 years old, between 5ft 11ins and 6ft 1in tall, of muscular build and with short brown hair.
