Motorway re-opened after pensioner dies in collision

THE M3 northbound has now fully re-opened, following a fatal accident in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, June 26).

The northbound carriageway between junction nine for Winnall and junction for Andover and the 303 was been shut since around 4am this morning, when an elderly man died following a collision between the car he was driving and a lorry.

The carriageway was re-opened just before 1pm, following an investigation of the scene and vehicles, which have now been removed.

For more information, see the previous stories.
