Lockerley carnival success
SATURDAY'S Lockerley and East Dean Carnival parade has been hailed "one of the best" on record.
Hundreds turned out for the colourful event and fete that followed the procession - led by a 1924 Charles Burrell steam engine owned by Nigel Isaac.
Dazzling floats and walking exhibits took to the streets during the afternoon and villagers cheered the revellers on as they passed-by them.
Lockerley Beaver Scouts production of Oliver stole the show and collected the top prize.
