ORGANISERS of the biggest rock festival in Tidworth's history are hoping they have found the recipe for a successful event this weekend with headline act Doctor and the Medics.
The group which topped the UK singles charts in the late 1980s with their imaginative reworking of the Norman Greenbaum hit Spirit in The Sky are playing at Tidworth Rocx tomorrow. Organiser Paul Evans, said: " Our aim is to bring you the biggest and best live show in the area which will be a great day of family fun with all sorts to see and hear."
Those who attend will need stamina though as the event is scheduled through the day on Saturday.

On Friday evening Castledown's battle of the bands winners, Pretty in Pink, will be the topping the bill when entry will be by donation. Rocx takes place on the land next to the Community Centre in Wylye Road.

Just thought you should know, Pretty In Pink are not Castledown's battle of the bands winners as suggested in this article. The school band in fact opened the Friday evening show (in a superb way, and with much enthusiasm) which was then headlined by Pretty In Pink, a female-dominated rock band from the Basingstoke area.
