TRUSTEES and Overton residents who attended the meeting at St Luke's Hall have agreed in principal to sell off some of the garden area to help fund the hall revamp.
The hall committee's acting secretary Chris Penney said an interest had been shown in the land at the rear of the garden.
He told the committee the options would be to sell the land to pump the money back into the regeneration scheme or to hold onto it in case the whole site was sold, to maximise its value.

The target figure for re-vamping the hall is estimated to be in excess of £200,000. The committee hopes to raise 50 per cent.
A total of £20,000 is being estimated for the sale of the garden.
Chairman Pat Taylor said: "We are looking for any ideas to raise money for St Luke's Hall.
"The villagers said they want the hall to stay central so this is the best way forward for us now."
It is hoped the scheme commences in June or July of 2009 or 2010 to minimise disruption to the clubs which use the hall.
"We would need the hall to be ready by September as people might go somewhere else and we wouldn't get them back," said Mr Penney, who mentioned that a couple of clubs had moved elsewhere in the past year.
