Is it me or is Andover a sad place to live?

I AM just wondering if anyone else is as depressed with the way Andover town is going?

Yes, we have a new cinema, but we have had to wait years for this.

The town centre itself though is sad - six mobile phone shops, four betting shops, (five if you include the one by Junction Road) and two huge units empty in the Chantry Centre which must have been empty well over a year and a half at least!

The reason they are still empty? Because no big company wants to come to Andover because it's going downhill.

Apart from the supermarkets there is only one place we can really buy CDs and if you want something that is not in the charts, no chance!

We don't have a Zavvi, HMV or anything like that. How many men's clothes shops do we have specifically for men? One. Countless cafes and little else.

Does no one care about the state of where we live?

People go elsewhere to shop and that is not going to change until someone does something about it! The younger people of Andover will grow up with nothing.
