Why not a theme park?

MAY I add to Alan Turner's and John Barrell's strong suggestions (Andover Advertiser 20 June) that we and our councillors all pay heed to the sad situation at Fradley.

My heart goes out to them - it's not too late for Andover to say No' to the Tesco/Goodman proposal.

Is it really a matter of money over environment?

What is so wrong about keeping a moderate sized town as attractive as possible?

My suggestion is that if the airfield needs development, why not consider a theme park?

This could be a tourist attaction, something for young people to do, and a provider of a wide range of employment.

It still astonishes me that anyone could for a moment consider that the megashed is consistent with Andover's Vision - a complete nightmare is a more appropriate description.

The A 303 barely copes with holiday traffic as it is.
