Re your article on recycling Yellow Pages, (Midweek Advertiser, 11 June) why waste printing and delivering them, over 80 per cent of households dump them, many in normal bins.
I read that the cost of the controversial Rendezvous (Andover Advertiser 20 June) has risen by £44,000 and yet I look in vain for an apology from or resignation of, the person/s responsible for the original costing.
MAY I add to Alan Turner's and John Barrell's strong suggestions (Andover Advertiser 20 June) that we and our councillors all pay heed to the sad situation at Fradley.
One of the world's retailing successes threatens to invest millions in our town, to employ 900 plus people, to pay its lowest grade warehouse staff wages far beyond the reach of many employed people in the area and as a collateral benefit, stimulate an estimated 450 additional jobs in local businesses according to the Cranfield Business School.
I completely agree with the sentiments expressed by Carolin Holmes and Alan Turner in their letters (Andover Advertiser 20 June) regarding the Tesco mega-shed.
If all objections have now been lifted by Highways Agency and Hampshire County Council, as stated in recent coverage, why is there further delay in bringing this planning application to committee for determination?
