Resurfacing work starts
RESURFACING work scheduled to take place in three streets in Andover town centre is set to start on Monday.
The aim of the 20-week scheme is to give Bridge Street, London Street and Winchester Street a fresh appearance and create a more cohesive link with the High Street.
From Monday, London Street will be closed as its surfaces on the road and pavement is re-laid.
That is set to last until mid-November.
The second three-week resurfacing stint, running either side of a month-long break for the Christmas period, will take place on the south side of Bridge Street from Sainsbury's to Iceland.
In January, the opposite stretch of road and pavement will be re-laid, before work moves to the section of Bridge Street between the River Anton and the High Street.
The final part to be remodelled will run from the south side of Bridge Street at Iceland, around the corner to the end of Winchester Street. Work is scheduled to finish in the first week of April.
