A CAREER looking after the backroom needs of the services has led to Andover man Sandy Wilson receiving the Imperial service Medal.
Major General T N Tyler presented Mr Wilson with the medal at the new DE&S Land HQ at Ministry of Defence Abbey Wood Bristol.
The Imperial Service Medal was awarded to Sandy in recognition of meritorious service as a clerical grade in the Ministry of Defence Civil Service. Sandy retired at the end of March 2008 from Ministry of Defence DE&S Land at Andover after completing 30 years service supporting our troops in Northern Ireland, The Falklands War, the First Iraq War, The Second Iraq War, Bosnia and Afghanistan campaigns. He lives in Andover with his wife Rosemary and is now enjoying his hobby of photography.
