Lib/Dems reveal election team
ANDOVER Liberal Dem-ocrats have announced their team to fight next year's Hampshire County Council elections.
"We are delighted to have such a strong team of candidates. We are confident we will retain the Andover north division and optimistic from initial polling returns to make gains elsewhere," said Lib/Dem spokesman Nigel Gooding.
They already hold the Andover north division and have re-selected Robin Hughes.
"The provision of Hamp-shire County Council services in Andover is vital to the future of the town and Andover's education and youth provision needs to be improved," said Mr Hughes.
"The woeful condition of Andover's roads and footpaths and older people's services is something I am keen to continue the fight for at county hall for a fair deal' for Andover."
In Andover south the Lib/ Dems have selected 45-year-old campaigner and scout leader Vince Mcgarry to fight the division.
Mr Mcgarry, who grew up in Anton Road, served eight years as a governor at Shepherds Spring Infant School finishing as chairman of governors and is now a community governor at Anton Junior School.
In the Andover west division former Alamein Test Valley Councillor Josie Msonthi completes the team.
Mrs Msonthi spent seven years working at Andover College, is a former chairperson of the Andover Citizens Bureau and a school governor at Knights Enham.
She promises to be tenacious.
"I will keep at it like a dog with a bone," she said.

I wouldn't vote for these jokers as far as i could throw them. In fact, all out mainstream parties these days are like the banking system - politically, morally and financially bankrupt. What's more, they've all sold this country out to the undemocratic and cynical EU so what difference are they going to make?
