All Blacks in the pink take runners-up spot

| ARFC U14s with their runners-up trophies |
Andover Forktruck Services sponsored U14s took ten boys to Lytchett Minster Sevens in Dorset.
It was apparent in the first match that the Andover lads knew what they were about easily beating Vectis. They despatched Wimborne B in similar style and then faced a sterner test against Bournemouth A, which they passed without too much trouble. Finally they ran in a few tries against Ellingham and Ringwood to top their pool.
They met Salisbury in the semi-finals of the cup and quickly established a two try advantage but shortly after half-time an interception sliced their lead in two and it was game on. Fortunately the boys responded immediately and despite conceding another try, they went on to win in comfort. Andover's superior sevens tactics and handling skills were the difference between the two sides.
Dressed to kill in their pink Breast Cancer T-shirts Andover duly faced the all-black Wimborne A in the cup final. While Andover had several chances, they began to make mistakes and Wimborne were worthy winners.
Congratulations to James Ashton, David Attwell Thomas, Alex Bradley, Edward Cronin, Luke Croughton, Fabian Kidd, Dan Knight, Taro Rowe, Jonathan Rogers and Jack Williams.
