A UNIQUE master class and recital is taking place on 16 October at the Arlington Art Centre, Newbury featuring musically gifted children who are profoundly deaf.
They will be working with international flautist William Bennett and the profoundly deaf flute player and teacher Ruth Montgomery as part of the Music of Life Foundation.
Over 20 young musicians with disabilities and special needs, the majority of whom are flute players plus three clarinettists, three oboists and two bassoonists, all from Mary Hare School, will work with William Bennett during the master class.

Headed by Ruth Montgomery, who had to struggle for her right to be a professional musician, many of the group of young students will perform at the evening concert with William Bennett in a programme to include some of the best-loved flute classics.
The foundation provides professional musical training and public performance opportunities for musically gifted children and young people with disabilities and special educational needs.
Tickets for the 7pm concert cost £10 and are available from the box office on 01635 244246.
