All the Fun of the Fair

HEART-throb David Essex is starring in a new production at The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton from 6 to 11 April next year.

All the Fun of the Fair is the exciting, new, action-packed musical, featuring a great collection of David Essex hits and album favourites, written by Boogie Nights creator Jon Conway.

It is set against the backdrop of a travelling funfair and packed with hilarious crafty cons and plenty of Rock'n'Roll classics.

Songs include Winter's Tale, Hold Me Close, Gonna Make You a Star, Me and My Girl, Nightclubbing, Silver Dream Machine and Rock On.

The show follows Levi Lee, played by David Essex, a widower and funfair owner and his struggles to fend off the attentions of an alluring and attractive divorcee.

He also battles with his rebellious teenage son and his tangled love life and lofty ambitions. Danger and mysticism lurk in the future, as predicted by a gypsy fortune-teller, if Levi changes his path.

This story with a heartbreaking twist will reach out to every parent and everyone who's ever been torn by love.

Tickets are available from the box office on 02380 711811 or online at www.mayflower.org.uk
