Iconic play

ICONIC play A Streetcar Named Desire will be playing at The Nuffield Theatre until 31 May.

This interpretation of the famous American play by Tennessee Williams, set in 1940s' New Orleans, is directed by Patrick Sandford.

Blanche DuBois, a delicate Southern beauty visits her sister Stella, living in working class neighbourhood.

Sparks soon fly between her and Stella's husband Stanley who is a brutish, realistic man.

This tale of desire and madness is one of Tennessee William's masterpieces and the winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1948.
